New Movies

On Friday Feb 6, 2010 I watched Couples Retreat, Gamer, and More Than a Game.

Couples Retreat
Going into this movie I had heard from everyone that it wasn't that good, and even "I shouldn't waste my time." But I am a Vince Vaughn fan, and in this movie he still holds the best monologue actor title. Since wedding crashers I find in my opionion the monologues Vince is given to be awesome. Getting back to the movie, I do think that the movie wasn't as good or as funny as the story, actors choosen, and marketing made us believe. There was many great scenes that got me laughing any scene with the yoga instructor, and the scene where they are walking through the jungle with Vince's monologue there. over all the movie was entertaining wich is what a romantic comedy is all about. Yes it could have been funnier, but I got laughs out of it so all in all good movie. On the must watch rating I would say defenitly download to watch with the gf or yourself, maybe a rent if you got the money and your not by yourself. Its got 1/8 on replay value

Next up "GAMER"
This story line to me was awesome, it was orignal to me. Totally had my attention from reading the cover to watching it. I do wish that Ludacris was more involved in it. Ultimatly it was a movie to sit back and watch Mr. Butler kick some ass. From the directors of Crank i thought this was around the same lvl but more inviting to watch. I kept thinking through out the movie if this could ever happen and weirdly I could rationalize farfetched as it was that it could happen, and thinking about how crazy the world would be and the morals of mine that conflicted was interesting as well. As for must watch rating, forsure download its a great movie for "lets watch some ass kicking," I would rent this with a group of buddies, and I wanted to see this in theatres. Its got 1/6 on the replay value

Lastly "More Than a Game"
If you don't know this is a biography of Lebron James. What i was amazed at was the fact that its not just about Lebron James, its about his teams life from 8 years old to senior year High School. I was captivated by the fact that there was more to Lebron than just he was amazing, but that his friendships and experiances were something that I had never heard of. I could be sheltered in that aspect but the way the movie follows his child hood was great. It wasn't to biographica either the right mix of Lebron and his team schooling kids footage to interviews. If your Lebron or basketball fan you have to watch this movie, if your not a Lebron fan but like basketball you have to watch it and if you hate basketball but love stories of teamwork, trials, tribulations and how champions and "greats" get through it, i would say watch it. I would download this, rent it, even buy it to put in your more "serious" and motivating genre colection. That is if your into a real story with basketball and friendship. As for the replay value, I would probably watch it maybe once a year so 1/12.

K well thats it for the latest movies i've watched. Till next time.
